Users can be alerted of newly uploaded documents by sending out a digest. A digest is an automatic email that is sent to users which informs them of newly added documents.
To set up a digest, undertake the following steps:
- Navigate to the Notifications tab under the Settings portal (last icon located in the ribbon)
- At the Document Noficiation (scheuled) section, choose your interval. You can choose from Daily or Weekly or Interval. If you choose Daily, you will then be presented with an option to choose the execution time (i.e what time would you like the email to be sent). Selecting the Weekly option allows you to select various days of the week and an execution time. Choosing the Interval option will give allow you send a digest more frequently (i.e. every 15 mins, 30 mins or 60 mins)
- Click on the Save button to save your changes
By default, email digests are not enabled within the data room.
You can also send a one off immediate digest by clicking on the Send button corresponding to the Document Notification (manual) area.
The digest email will only contain a list of files or folders which the user has access to.
